HP’s robotic layout floor printer transforms 2D CAD files into full-scale prints on construction site floors. It combines HP's expertise in printing technology with advanced robotics to create lines, points, arcs, and even door swings, room numbers and text directly on surfaces like concrete, vinyl, plywood, or tarmac. The system works seamlessly with the Leica Geosystems Robotic Total Stations that we use on every project.

The process is straightforward: We work in coordination with our customers to get what they want printed. Then, we prepare a 2D .dxf CAD file using an HP plugin, upload it to the cloud for sharing and version control, set up control points on site, and let the robot handle the printing autonomously. With its tri-wheeled design, internal tracking prism, and wireless connectivity, HP SitePrint navigates sites independently, providing live progress and task updates via any internet-enabled device.
